Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to provide Zambians with easy-to-use, mobile-friendly calculation tools that are specifically tailored to our local context. Whether you are a smallholder farmer planning your maize harvest, a parent tracking your child's growth against Ministry of Health standards, or a worker checking your PAYE and NAPSA deductions, we believe you deserve tools that understand Zambia.
Our Story
Calculator Zed was born out of a simple frustration: most online calculators are built for the US or Europe. They use Fahrenheit, US Dollars, foreign agricultural guidelines, and tax brackets that have nothing to do with reality in Lusaka, Kitwe, or rural Zambia.
We realized that a farmer in Southern Province doesn't need a generic "crop calculator"—they need one that understands 50kg bags of maize, Zambian Kwacha (ZMW), and local fertilizer blends like D-Compound and Urea. A parent doesn't need a generic health tool—they need one aligned with the WHO standards adopted by the Zambian Ministry of Health.
So, we built this platform from our home base in Kitwe. The "Zed" in our name is a proud nod to the "Z" in Zambia. We built this by Zambians, for Zambians. Completely free, with no hidden fees or data harvesting.
